1. She Will Earn A Title Of Her Own
Though it’s not quite as lofty as the ones her sis and brother-in-law will inherit one day, James and Pippa will become the Laird and Lady of Glen Affric in Scotland when James inherits the family’s large area of land and castles in Scotland from his father, according to Express.
2. Her Parents Met As Flight Attendants
According to reports from Hello! Magazine, Michael Middleton started out as a steward alongside his now-wife Carole on British Airways before shifting to his role as a dispatcher for the airline.
The pair then started their own party-supply business, Party Pieces, which became a huge success for the whole family, with Pippa chipping in along the way and even developing the website’s blog.

4. Her New Husband Used To Be A Race Car Driver
Before heading into his business career, James’ talent behind the wheel helped him win a string of races and the British Formula 3 Championship, British Formula Renault Championship, and Eurocup Formula Renault.
According to footage unearthed by British television network ITV from 1995, he aspired to make it to Formula 1, but ultimately never got quite that far.
5. She’s Collaborated With Fashion Designers
Before rumors swirled as to who would craft the perfect frock for her walk down the aisle, she dipped her own toes into the fashion world by collaborating with British designer Tabitha Webb.
Sadly, none of her creations are still on the market today.
6. She Almost Upstaged Kate’s Big Day
Obviously, nothing can compare to the attention on Kate and her beautiful gown as she said “I do” to Prince William back in 2011, but the bridesmaid’s gown Pippa donned earned the little sis several of her own headlines thanks to the way it hugged her notoriously trim figure.
As she told Today, though, she was apparently none-too-pleased with all of the attention placed on what she called the “insignificant dress.”
7. Princess Charlotte Is Named After Her
Pippa’s full name is Philippa Charlotte Middleton, which is exactly where William and Kate found inspiration when they decided to give their daughter her aunt’s middle name.
The adorable 2-year-old isn’t on flower girl duty for Pippa’s wedding, though — according to Express, she’s a bridesmaid. Meanwhile, younger brother George will fill in as pageboy.
8. One Of Her New In-Laws Is A Reality Star
James’ younger brother Spencer Matthews made a name for himself as a regular on the British “scripted reality” series Made in Chelsea, which follows the lives of young, wealthy individuals in West London.

James, shown above with his family participating in a charity bike ride, reportedly fell for his bride at first sight back when they met in 2006. However, Daily Mail explains he decided to take his time courting her due to their eight-year age difference.
Their romance finally began in 2015 shortly following Pippa’s split from stockbroker Nico Jackson, though they had a brief fling before that, according to E! Online. The pair was spotted wining and dining for a few months starting in October 2012.
10. The Couple Loves Competing Together
Throughout their relationship, Pippa and James have taken part in several joint activities. They trekked over 30 miles in Norway on skis for the Birkebeiner cross-country race, finishing together in just under six hours, as reported by Daily Mail.
